V roce 1925 navrhl paleontolog George Wieland novou hypot\u00e9zu: \u017ee pred\u00e1to\u0159i poj\u00eddaj\u00edc\u00ed vejce sehr\u00e1li v\u00fdznamnou roli v \u00fapadku t\u011bchto vzne\u0161en\u00fdch tvor\u016f.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pred\u00e1to\u0159i poj\u00eddaj\u00edc\u00ed vejce: Hrozba pro p\u0159e\u017eit\u00ed dinosaur\u016f<\/h2>\n\n<p>Wieland v\u011b\u0159il, \u017ee hlavn\u00edmi vin\u00edky za vym\u00edr\u00e1n\u00ed dinosaur\u016f byly je\u0161t\u011brky a hadi poj\u00eddaj\u00edc\u00ed vejce. Tvrdil, \u017ee tito pred\u00e1to\u0159i mohli spolknout vejce dinosaur\u016f cel\u00e1 a p\u0159ipravit tak dinosaury o jejich budouc\u00ed generace. Tuto hypot\u00e9zu podpo\u0159il objev fosiln\u00edch d\u016fkaz\u016f, jako je k\u0159\u00eddov\u00fd had Sanajeh, o kter\u00e9m se p\u0159edpokl\u00e1d\u00e1, \u017ee se \u017eivil vejci sauropod\u016f.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Evoluce poj\u00edda\u010d\u016f vajec<\/h2>\n\n<p>Wieland tak\u00e9 navrhl, \u017ee strava slo\u017een\u00e1 z vajec mohla v\u00e9st k evoluci n\u011bkter\u00fdch z nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edch drav\u00fdch dinosaur\u016f, jako je Tyrannosaurus. Obrovsk\u00e1 velikost t\u011bchto pred\u00e1tor\u016f mohla b\u00fdt adaptac\u00ed na jejich zvyk poj\u00eddat vejce. Wieland nav\u00edc spekuloval, \u017ee dinosau\u0159i poj\u00eddaj\u00edc\u00ed vejce mohli v koordinovan\u00fdch skupin\u00e1ch vyhled\u00e1vat nechr\u00e1n\u011bn\u00e1 hn\u00edzda.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Obrany a protiopat\u0159en\u00ed<\/h2>\n\n<p>Dinosau\u0159i nebyli proti pred\u00e1tor\u016fm vajec zcela bezbrann\u00ed. Wieland v\u011b\u0159il, \u017ee mo\u017en\u00e1 poskytovali rodi\u010dovskou p\u00e9\u010di, byli aktivn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e dne\u0161n\u00ed je\u0161t\u011brky a krokod\u00fdli a dokonce vytv\u00e1\u0159eli koordinovan\u00e9 skupiny, aby chr\u00e1nili sv\u00e1 hn\u00edzda. Nen\u00ed v\u0161ak \u017e\u00e1dn\u00fd n\u00e1znak, \u017ee by pouze poj\u00edda\u010di vajec zp\u016fsobili vym\u00edr\u00e1n\u00ed dinosaur\u016f. Na\u0161e ch\u00e1p\u00e1n\u00ed ud\u00e1losti vym\u00edr\u00e1n\u00ed k\u0159\u00eddy-paleog\u00e9nu, kter\u00e1 vyhladila dinosaury a mnoho dal\u0161\u00edch druh\u016f, bylo tak\u00e9 revidov\u00e1no. Dnes se p\u0159edpokl\u00e1d\u00e1, \u017ee ji zp\u016fsobila kombinace faktor\u016f, v\u010detn\u011b dopad\u016f asteroid\u016f a sope\u010dn\u00fdch erupc\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vejce dinosaur\u016f: Cenn\u00fd zdroj<\/h2>\n\n<p>Zat\u00edmco predace vajec pravd\u011bpodobn\u011b nevedla k vym\u00edr\u00e1n\u00ed dinosaur\u016f, vejce dinosaur\u016f byla nepochybn\u011b cenn\u00fdm zdrojem vyu\u017e\u00edvan\u00fdm maso\u017eravci a v\u0161e\u017eravci.
