Instructions

1. Unplug the Garage Door Opener

3. Manually Lift the Garage Door

The springs should assist you in lifting the door. Use your legs, not your back, and lift from the bottom.

4. Close the Garage Door

• Lower the door gradually to prevent wind from slamming it shut.
• As the door closes, more weight will transfer to you, so be prepared.

5. Reconnect the Garage Door Opener

Once power is restored:

• Open the door and go inside.
• Close the door behind you.
• Pull the emergency release cord down or lever up.
• Plug in the opener.
• Press the remote control button.

If the door remains disconnected, try manually lifting it about a foot off the ground until you hear a click.
